Helping to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Canterbury Province, Christchurch City Library has launched "Imprints" a digital history archive. Using technology they have tried to bring to life some key resources which help to tell the story of the people, places and events which have shaped the Canterbury province.

Archives New Zealand, Christchurch hold copies of all existing shipping lists and the Canterbury Museum Archives has a comprehensive list of passengers in and out of the port of Lyttelton.
